3DReid at RSA Annual Exhibition 2019

3DReid is delighted to have two projects selected for the Royal Scottish Academy Annual Exhibition 2019.

The two pieces of work that have been selected for the final hang are a triptych of visualisations of the proposed Thistle Garden Rooms and a photograph, by David Cadzow, of the completed Avonbridge URC project.

The RSA Annual Exhibition is a focal point of the RSA programme, showcasing work from RSA Academicians the length and breadth of Scotland. Now in its 193rd year, it continues to provide a platform for contemporary painting, sculpture, film, printmaking, photography and installation, alongside work by some of the country’s leading architects. This year’s Convenor is Francis Convery RSA, assisted by Deputy Convenor Graeme Hutton RSA.

Avonbridge URC is one of the smallest and most modest projects that we’ve done and took the overall ‘Chairman’s Award for Architecture’ at the Scottish Design Awards this year. Avonbridge provides a series of key initiatives, from a Credit Union, to a Lunch Club, for the residents of the small village, outside Falkirk.

Thistle Garden Rooms was also a winner of the ‘Future Building’ category at the Scottish Design Awards this year. A new-build community-centred building in the heart of Craigmillar in Edinburgh for the Thistle, an Edinburgh based health and wellbeing charity.
