3DReid are delighted to have won the ‘Wood Award’ category, for their Thistle Foundation Centre of Wellbeing project, at the Edinburgh Architectural Association Awards 2017 (EAA Awards).
Playing an important part in creating a warm and welcoming environment for those who visit the building, the use of timber, both inside and out, is a key element in achieving the right environment to best support the core work of the charity.
The timber façade also fulfils an environmental role, with vertical fins shielding the office spaces from solar gain and glare, in addition to incorporating feature signage, in the form of the charity’s logo.
